Music Lessons in the Inner West

From Leichhardt and Newtown to Strathfield and Burwood, we have more teachers in the Inner West than anywhere else in Sydney. There is usually a good match close to home.

A Deep Bench of Inner West Teachers

The Inner West is where we have more teachers than anywhere else in Sydney. More than 35 are based here, in suburbs including Strathfield, Canterbury, Croydon, Camperdown, Glebe, Leichhardt, Marrickville, Newtown and Abbotsford. That spread means most families can find someone within a short drive, a short walk or at their own front door.

The area has its own music culture too. Newtown is home to Newtown High School of the Performing Arts, and Aleksa, one of our Enmore teachers, is a graduate. Nate, a drummer based in Glebe, is studying a Bachelor of Drumset Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, a short trip away in the city.

What You Can Learn in the Inner West

Home, Studio or Online

Several Inner West teachers travel to students’ homes, including Yurisander, Adrian, Melanie and Maisy. Others teach from a studio: Keyna in Ashbury and Wendy in Leichhardt both teach from home studios, and Gizelle in Burwood welcomes students into her studio. Many teachers also offer online lessons.
