Keyna is a fully qualified music teacher with 25 years of experience, specialising in flute, piano, music theory, and composition. She teaches students of all levels, from beginner to advanced, and welcomes learners across an impressive age range of 3 to 80 years old. Her teaching spans multiple styles, including classical, jazz, rock, folk, and free improvisation, giving students the freedom to explore the kind of music that speaks to them.
As an educator, Keyna is driven by a genuine passion for helping students reach their musical potential, whether their goal is simply to enjoy playing for the fun of it or to work toward exams and auditions. Her approach clearly delivers results, with her students achieving an outstanding 99% success rate across major music examination boards, including AMEB, ABRSM, Trinity, and Rockschool. This track record reflects her ability to tailor lessons to each student’s individual goals while maintaining strong technical and musical standards.
Keyna teaches from her home studio in Ashbury, in Sydney’s inner west, where students have the opportunity to learn on a Kohler and Campbell grand piano. She currently offers both online and face to face lessons, making her teaching accessible no matter a student’s circumstances. Adding to the experience, she organises regular student concerts at local venues, giving her students valuable opportunities to perform and grow in confidence beyond the studio setting.
