Emily is an experienced oboe, bassoon, and music theory teacher who focuses on building strong technique, confident playing, and genuine musical understanding in every student. Her lessons are structured and productive, while still keeping things engaging so students stay motivated long-term.

She works with students preparing for AMEB exams, scholarship auditions, school band repertoire, and orchestral auditions, tailoring each lesson to the student’s level and goals. Whether a student is just starting out or working towards high-level performance, Emily aims to develop both technical control and musical expression, not just note accuracy.

With over 10 years of performance experience, Emily has achieved an AMusA diploma in both oboe and bassoon, and has received scholarship offers from institutions including the Royal College of Music. She also achieved a Band 6 in HSC Music 2 and an E4 in HSC Music Extension, demonstrating strong academic musicianship alongside performance.

Emily regularly performs with ensembles such as the Australian Youth Orchestra, the Sydney Youth Orchestra, and the Sydney Concert Orchestra, bringing real-world orchestral experience into her teaching.

Her goal is simple: to help students develop strong fundamentals, musical confidence, and a lasting enjoyment of music.
