David — Guitar, Music Theory, Composition & Songwriting Teacher

David is a guitar teacher with a Bachelor of Music and around 15 years of experience guiding students of all levels. Most of his students play acoustic guitar, on both steel and nylon strings, and he also teaches electric guitar, music theory, composition and songwriting.

His focus is solo guitar arrangements, where melody and chords are played together as one complete piece. David teaches both fingerpicking and pick strumming, so students can play almost any song in the style that suits them.

Lessons are built around songs, with backing tracks to sharpen rhythm and tempo and every arrangement written out in notation with tabs. Students can learn theory alongside their songs, and those curious about writing music can learn MuseScore.
