Andy — Drums, Logic Pro, Singing, Piano, Composition & Songwriting Teacher

Andy is a Sydney-based drum teacher, musical director, songwriter, and educator with over 17 years of professional experience across touring, theatre, festivals, and studio work.

A graduate of the Australian Institute of Music, Andy has built an extensive career performing throughout Australia and overseas. He is currently the drummer for Lee Kernaghan and Musical Director for the touring dance production Eireborne.

His career highlights include The Marvellous Elephant Man at the Sydney Spiegeltent, European tours with Eireborne, a performance with Casey Donovan at the Sydney City Recital Hall, and appearances at major festivals including SXSW, Tanjazz, and CMC Rocks. He has also toured with artists including Ron Pope, Uno Svenningsson, and Boney M.

Alongside his performing career, Andy is a passionate and experienced educator. Since 2018, he has worked as a full-time Drum Tutor at JMC Music Academy, helping students build strong fundamentals, musical confidence, versatility, and enjoyment in their playing.

Known for his strong musical instinct and adaptability, Andy tailors each lesson to the individual. Whether a student is just starting out or looking to take their drumming further, his lessons are supportive, engaging, and shaped around each student’s goals.
