Kristina — Saxophone, Piano, Flute, Composition & Theory Teacher

Kristina is a composer, saxophonist, flautist, and pianist based in Sydney. She studied a Bachelor of Music Composition at The Sydney Conservatorium of Music, followed by a Masters in Music Composition for Television and Film at The University of Bristol in the UK. While in the UK, she performed in various bands and orchestrasacross a range of styles and composed music for film and art exhibitions, gaining a broad and versatile musical background.

Now back in Australia, Kristina teaches saxophone, flute, piano, composition, and theory, all while continuing her own studies and advancement across these instruments and subjects. She is also currently in the pilot stage of producing and composing music for a children’s animation series, keeping her creative practice active and current alongside her teaching.

As a teacher, Kristina tailors every lesson to the individual student. For beginners, she focuses on building strong basics while nurturing a genuine passion and love of music, and for intermediate players, she encourages them to explore styles that interest them most. Some students thrive with the structure of working towards AMEB exams, while others prefer the freedom of learning popular styles or improvisation. At the heart of her teaching is a belief in helping students find a real connection with their instrument, fostering the kind of passion, enjoyment, and inspiration that leads to lasting dedication to music.
