Ananya — Fingerstyle Guitar Teacher

Ananya is a guitar and singing teacher with over four years of experience helping students of all ages and levels discover their sound. Currently completing her law degree at the University of Sydney, she brings the same discipline and attention to detail from her studies into every lesson, balanced with a genuine, lifelong love of music that shines through in how she teaches.

Ananya specialises in electric, acoustic, classical, and blues guitar, with a particular strength in fingerstyle and fingerpicking technique. Her lessons begin with the fundamentals, covering chords, strumming, and fingerpicking patterns, before building toward more advanced playing. A key part of her approach is developing students’ ability to play by ear, giving them the confidence to learn songs without always relying on chord charts or tabs.

Whether working with complete beginners or more experienced players, Ananya tailors each lesson to the student’s individual goals, pace, and learning style. Her patient, encouraging manner has made her a favourite among students, with one describing her teaching as combining deep musical knowledge with a genuine ability to make lessons feel rewarding and enjoyable.
