Terrence — Clarinet & Music Theory Teacher
Terrence is a clarinet teacher based in the Hills area who specialises in working with beginner students. He is passionate about helping young players build confidence, establish strong fundamentals, and enjoy music from the very beginning.
He teaches in a clear, encouraging, and supportive way, helping students develop solid clarinet technique while also assisting with school band music, AMEB practical exams, and music theory. His lessons are designed to feel structured and approachable, giving students the guidance they need to make steady progress without feeling overwhelmed.
A senior student at North Sydney Boys High School, Terrence has a strong background in both solo and ensemble performance, including appearing as a concerto soloist with orchestra. He received his Certificate of Performance with honours in 2024, performs regularly in solo recitals, and is involved in both The Arts Unit and Sydney Youth Orchestras ensembles. In 2026, he also co-founded a student-run orchestra initiative.
With his strong musical background, approachable teaching style, and genuine enthusiasm for helping students grow, Terrence aims to make clarinet lessons productive, supportive, and enjoyable from the outset.

Terrence is a great tutor. I really felt improvement and deeper understanding of the music after his lessons.
