Starla — Clarinet & Piano Teacher

Hi musicians! My name is Starla and I am a fun and easygoing teacher who wants what’s best for my students. I specialise in online clarinet and piano lessons, providing personalised and engaging classes for students to learn from the comfort of their own home. My goal is to encourage and support students throughout their musical journey while helping them develop their skills and confidence in performance. I am a classically trained musician with over 10 years of experience in clarinet and piano, hold an AMEB AMusA Diploma with Distinction in Clarinet, and achieved a High Distinction in Grade 8 Piano.

I teach clarinet and piano players of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced, who are passionate and driven. My online teaching style focuses on helping students understand the fundamentals of playing, identify areas for improvement and develop their overall musicianship. I work with students on pieces they are preparing for AMEB examinations, high school music classes and school bands. Through online lessons, I provide clear demonstrations, personalised guidance and constructive feedback while making sure each lesson is enjoyable and suited to the student’s individual goals, interests and learning pace.

I am passionate about making online music lessons enjoyable, effective and supportive. I believe students can make strong progress through online learning when lessons are personalised and structured around their needs. Whether students want to improve their technique, prepare for an AMEB examination, work on school music or simply become more confident musicians, I aim to create a welcoming online environment where they feel comfortable learning and asking questions. My goal is to help every student unlock their potential, become proud of their progress and develop a lasting love for music.
