Sofija — Oboe & Piano Teacher

Sofija is an experienced oboe and piano player with over a decade of experience. She has completed the AMEB oboe grades and helps beginners progress through AMEB with A’s and A+ grades.

She teaches oboe and piano with a strong focus on getting the fundamentals right from the very start. Sofija helps students master correct lip embouchure and breathing support, and finds that once these are solved early, everything else a student needs to learn becomes easier. From there, reading sheet music and technical work are simply a matter of practice, guided by the right strategies.

Sofija teaches online and has found her online lessons work just as well as her in-person lessons did.
