Olivia, flute, piccolo, and music theory teacher

Olivia — Flute, Piccolo & Music Theory Teacher

Olivia is a Sydney-based flute tutor with over 10 years of playing experience, including performance in solo, ensemble, and orchestral settings. In her lessons, she focuses on creating a supportive and collaborative environment, tailoring her teaching to each student’s learning style so lessons are both enjoyable and productive.

She offers individualised lessons for beginner to intermediate students, whether they are learning school band repertoire, preparing for AMEB exams, or simply playing for enjoyment. Olivia aims to help each student build strong foundations while developing confidence and consistency in their playing.

Olivia has achieved her AMEB Flute Associate (AMusA) diploma and completed AMEB grades from Preliminary to Grade 8, as well as the Flute Certificate of Performance (CMus) with High Distinction. She also received Band 6 results in both HSC Music 2 and HSC Music Extension.

Outside of teaching, Olivia has performed with community and university orchestras, played at events, and travelled around Australia to compete in the National Band Championships as a first-chair flautist. Her teaching goal is to help students develop strong technical skills, musicality, and confidence, while also fostering a genuine enthusiasm for music.
