Marcella — Violin & Viola Teacher

Marcella is a standout violinist, violist, and educator whose international career has bridged the musical communities of Indonesia and Australia since her concert debut at just 12 years old. She recently won the prestigious Sydney Catholic Schools Eisteddfod, taking first place in both the Primary and Secondary programs for 2026. Her training includes a Master’s Degree in Violin Performance from the Australian Institute of Music and advanced masterclasses at the Singapore Violin Festival under some of the world’s finest pedagogues.

Her teaching is shaped by an active career as a global performer, with highlights including the G20 Orchestra at Borobudur Temple, a collaboration with Grammy winning artist Laufey, and a long standing partnership with composer Ananda Sukarlan. As a leader within the Sydney Youth Orchestra, Sydney Concert Orchestra, and Western Sydney Symphony, and founder of Efrata Strings, she brings genuine performance experience into every lesson.

Marcella focuses on building correct posture and strong fundamentals from the very beginning, guiding students from their first notes through to auditions, exams, and eisteddfods. This blend of international training and real performance credibility is what makes lessons with Marcella stand out.
