Leila, flute and music theory teacher

Leila — Flute & Music Theory Teacher

Leila is a Sydney-based flute teacher who began her musical journey on the piano at age 8 before discovering the flute at 11. This early foundation across two instruments has shaped her understanding of music, allowing her to approach teaching with both technical clarity and musical sensitivity.

She is currently in her third year at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, completing a Bachelor of Music (Performance). Alongside her studies, Leila has gained valuable experience teaching both private and group lessons across several schools throughout Sydney, working with students of different ages and skill levels.

Leila aims to make every lesson enjoyable while still building strong fundamentals. Whether a student is preparing for AMEB exams, playing in a school ensemble, or learning purely for fun, she tailors each lesson to suit their goals, with a focus on developing good habits and long-term confidence on the flute. She has also completed the NSW Government’s Child Protection Awareness Training, ensuring a safe and professional learning environment.
