Kourosh is a violin teacher currently in his first year at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where he began his Bachelor of Music (Performance) in 2026. Alongside violin, he also plays viola, clarinet, piano, and guitar, giving him a broad and well-rounded musical background. He is currently a member of the Sydney Youth Philharmonic Orchestra.
Kourosh began performing from a young age, taking part in wind ensemble competitions throughout primary school from 2017 to 2019. From 2020 to 2022, he performed regularly in a string quartet at Northmead Creative and Performing Arts High School. After moving to Killara High School, he served as concertmaster of both the school orchestra and string ensemble from 2023 to 2025. During this time, he was also a member of the Arts Unit Symphony Orchestra, where he became co-leader of the second violins in 2025.
In 2024, Kourosh performed at the Sydney Opera House with a self-formed string quintet from Killara High School. In 2025, he led the second violins in the NSW School Spectacular orchestra and performed with a quartet broadcast live on Channel 7. That same year, he also appeared as a solo violinist in a school competition and contributed to a regional competition-winning performance.
Throughout his musical journey, Kourosh has performed in major venues including the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Town Hall, Qudos Bank Arena, and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. With his strong ensemble background, leadership experience, and ongoing conservatorium training, he brings a thoughtful and disciplined approach to music learning.
