Jimmy — Violin Teacher

Jimmy Park is an award-winning Australian violinist and dedicated teacher currently completing postgraduate studies at the Mozarteum University Salzburg under Professor Esther Hoppe, while offering online lessons. He previously completed a Master of Music at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with Professor Ole Böhn, after earlier studies with Rowan Harvey-Martin in Australia and Koen Rens in Belgium. Under Rowan Harvey-Martin’s guidance, Jimmy earned his LMusA diploma at just 13 years old and became the youngest member of the Australian Youth Orchestra.

As a performer, Jimmy has built an impressive international career, winning First Prize at the Great Romantics Competition, Convimus International Violin Competition, Princess Galyani Vadhana International Ensemble Competition, and the Australian National Youth Concerto Competition. He has performed throughout Europe, South America, and Australia, including concerto appearances in Germany and Portugal, and has also performed as a contracted First Violin with the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg. He is a passionate chamber musician and regularly performs with pianist Alexander Yau, the Alpenrose Trio, and the Elan Quartet.

Jimmy has been teaching violin since 2020 and works with students ranging from young beginners to adult and tertiary-level players. His teaching style focuses on efficiency, critical thinking, and practical problem-solving, helping students make strong progress while keeping lessons engaging, rewarding, and musically meaningful.
