Jill is a Sydney-based singer-songwriter, music producer, and guitar teacher located on the Northern Beaches, with a strong focus on helping beginners build confidence and develop real musical foundations. Holding a Bachelor of Music from the Academy of Music and Performing Arts, she brings both formal training and years of hands-on creative experience to her lessons.
She is especially well suited to teens aged 11 and up, as well as adults who are approaching acoustic guitar for the first time. Rather than pushing students through a rigid method, Jill focuses on the style of music they actually want to learn, helping them build strong fundamentals while gradually developing their own musical identity and taste.
Jill also teaches music production with Logic Pro, supporting students who want to create, record, and shape their own music. Her lessons can cover home studio setup, composing and arranging tracks, mixing, and recording vocals or live instruments, making her a great fit for students who want to go beyond playing and start producing original work.
She has been writing songs since 2010 and regularly performs originals and covers at open mic gigs around Sydney. Alongside her acoustic work, she also composes and produces electronic music from her home studio. Her writing spans pop, rock, dance-pop, jazz-influenced songs, EDM, and electronica, and many of her songs and instrumentals have reached the finals in Australian and international songwriting competitions.
