Jerry — Violin Teacher

Jerry began studying the violin at the age of six under the guidance of Gong Chang and quickly developed a passion for orchestral performance. As a member of the Little Angel Symphony Orchestra, he performed in numerous concerts across China and toured the United States between 2012 and 2013 as part of a cultural exchange program, and has also performed in major venues including Dongguan Yulan Theatre.

Jerry later trained under Professor Guan Wenhui of the Xinghai Conservatory of Music and studied teaching methods influenced by Chen Xi of the Central Conservatory of Music. Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English, he connects easily with students and families across languages. His lessons focus on strong technical foundations, adapted to each student’s age, experience, and goals, helping them build confident technique, musical expression, and lasting practice habits.

Jerry teaches all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced violinists preparing for exams, auditions, and competitions. His students have won Second and Third Prizes in the Hong Kong String Competition, completed Grade 2 to Grade 8 violin exams, and earned places in leading school string orchestras. Lessons are available online or at his home studio in Wahroonga, taught in Mandarin, Cantonese, or English.
