Janet — Piano & Theory Teacher
Janet is an experienced piano teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience. She teaches piano to students aged 5 to 90, supporting both those learning for leisure and those working towards formal exams. Janet teaches students from beginner through to advanced (up to 8th Grade), with lessons tailored to the student’s current level and goals.
Alongside piano, Janet teaches musicianship, music craft, aural skills, and music theory for AMEB and ABRSM. She conducts mock exams and supervises online theory exams in her studio each year, helping students prepare with clear expectations and practical exam familiarity.
Janet also teaches music composition and songwriting, and runs student workshops and annual recitals to support performance and musical development. She teaches from Janet’s Music Studio in Bardwell Valley.

My daughter has wanted to sing for a long time but we couldn’t find the right atmosphere as she is a little shy! With Lucy and her group of other little singers, my daughter lives for her Friday singing lessons. She practises all week and cannot wait for the class. My daughter now sings everywhere – especially in-front of others!!! It has been a win for us in so many aspect 🙏
