Hilda — Singing, Piano & Theory Teacher

Hilda is a full-time Performing Arts student based in Kingsford, currently studying at Village Nation Performing Arts after graduating high school in New Zealand. She holds an ABRSM Singing Grade 6 with Distinction and an ABRSM Music Theory Grade 6 with Distinction, and has been singing in both classical/choir and musical theatre styles since the age of 5, gaining numerous performance opportunities along the way.

She teaches singing and music theory to students of all levels, from beginner to advanced. Her lessons typically begin with a warm-up, followed by an explanation of key singing principles such as correct breathing for beginners, before moving into working on a song with the student over several weeks so they can track their progress and build their repertoire. Hilda also works with students to set short- and long-term goals to keep them motivated and help them reach their full potential.

She prides herself on creating a friendly, supportive, and comfortable learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, discuss any struggles, and have fun while working hard. Hilda offers lessons both online and in person, travelling up to 10km from Kingsford.
