Frederick — Violin Teacher
Frederick is a dedicated violin teacher and Engineering student at UNSW who enjoys helping students develop strong fundamentals, confidence, and musical expression. He teaches beginner to intermediate violinists, with lessons shaped around each student’s age, experience, and goals.
With 2 years of teaching experience, Frederick has worked with students aged 5 to 30, ranging from first-time beginners learning through the Suzuki method to students preparing for AMEB examinations. For intermediate students, he places a strong emphasis on building technique, control, and musicianship through etudes and repertoire.
Frederick achieved AMEB Grade 8 with Honours in 2020 and was named a Distinguished Achiever in HSC Music 2 and Music Extension. He has been a member of the UNSW Symphony Orchestra since 2022, performed with the Sydney Youth Orchestra in 2023, and is currently working towards his AMusA.
He also offers lessons in Mandarin and aims to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students can progress steadily and enjoy the experience of learning violin.
