Brenda — Piano & Music Theory Teacher

Brenda is a dedicated music teacher with years of experience helping young children and beginner learners build strong musical foundations. She holds a Diploma in Music (Performance) LCM, as well as two associate diplomas from the London College of Music and St Cecilia School of Music.

Her teaching background includes work in international schools and preschools, which has given her valuable insight into the important role music can play in a child’s development. This has also led her to explore a range of teaching approaches, including the Orff Schulwerk and Dalcroze method, to make lessons more engaging, effective, and developmentally appropriate.

Brenda strongly believes that sight reading is an essential part of a student’s musical growth, and she places a strong focus on helping students develop this skill with confidence. Most of her students achieve distinction grades in their music exams, with many also earning distinctions in diploma-level studies.

A key part of Brenda’s teaching philosophy is building confidence in every student while giving them the technical and musical foundations they need to progress well. As a passionate lifelong music lover, she is always exploring new areas of music and pedagogy to continue enriching both her teaching and her students’ learning experience.
