Aveline — Singing & Piano Teacher
Aveline is a classically trained voice teacher and postgraduate vocal performance student at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the Central Conservatory of Music and has performed at the Sydney Opera House, in major concerts, and in opera productions including Così fan tutte, Don Pasquale, and L’elisir d’amore.
She teaches students from early childhood through to adults, with experience across a wide age range and a strong ability to adapt lessons to each student’s level, personality, and goals. Her teaching focuses on healthy vocal technique, musical expression, confidence, and long-term development, while keeping lessons supportive, engaging, and enjoyable.
Aveline is particularly strong at identifying vocal issues clearly and helping students improve efficiently. She also brings knowledge of Italian, French, and German pronunciation for students studying classical repertoire, and can offer beginner piano support where needed. Happy Parents & Adult Students
I’ve loved singing since I was young, but due to limited circumstances I never had proper professional guidance. Although I had a decent foundation, as I got older I could clearly feel my voice becoming less stable and singing became more difficult.
Later, I was fortunate to start learning with Ms Hu. She taught me a structured, scientific approach to vocal technique – from breath control and opening the resonance space, to soft palate control and how to use the body when singing. Every detail was explained clearly and professionally.
After a period of learning, singing no longer feels difficult. I can now reach much higher notes than before, and my voice has become fuller, more controlled, and brighter in tone. Previously my voice often felt tight and strained, but now it feels clear and effortless, and I’ve truly rediscovered the joy of singing.
What surprised me even more is that my lung capacity and overall physical condition have improved as well. I’m genuinely grateful to Ms Hu - she not only helped me regain my voice, but also helped me rediscover confidence and the beauty of music.

Adult studentAs a parent, I’m truly grateful to have found such a professional and caring teacher like Ms Hu.
My child had no exposure to music before starting lessons and wasn’t very interested at first. I was worried they wouldn’t stick with it. But the lessons are incredibly engaging and fun. Ms Hu uses creative methods that children enjoy – for example, when practising vocal sounds, she’ll use playful exercises like mimicking cats or dogs to help children find the right placement. My child finds it really enjoyable and never feels bored, and is able to stay focused throughout the lesson.
After this period of learning, the improvement has been very noticeable. Not only has my child’s pitch accuracy improved significantly, but their musical foundation has become much stronger. They’ve gone from struggling to match basic notes to now being able to sing melodies accurately, with clear progress.
What makes me happiest is that my child now genuinely enjoys music. At home, they sing on their own and even ask for vocal lessons. Their interest in music continues to grow.
Ms Hu is not only methodical in her teaching, but also incredibly patient with children. Step by step, she guides them to enjoy singing and appreciate music. She has truly opened the door to the world of music for my child.
We are sincerely grateful for her dedication and feel very reassured having our child learn with her.
