
Alexey — Piano & Music Theory Teacher
Alexey is an internationally recognised concert pianist and prize winner of major competitions including the Horowitz, Krainev, Hilton Head, San Antonio, and the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition (finalist). He has performed across Europe, the USA, Australia and Asia, and has appeared with major orchestras including the Fort Worth Symphony, San Antonio Symphony, Mexico City Philharmonic, and the National Philharmonic of Ukraine. He has also been featured on PBS, including Playing on the Edge and the PBS Concerto series.
Alexey holds a Bachelor of Music (2012) and Master of Music (2014) from The Juilliard School, where he studied with Dr Yoheved Kaplinsky. Alongside his performance career, he has 29+ years’ teaching experience, working with students of all ages — whether they’re preparing for performances and competitions or learning piano for pleasure.
Alexey prefers teaching in students’ homes, helping students progress on their own instrument with structured, high-level guidance and a strong focus on technique, musicality and confidence.
