Alex — Double Bass, Guitar, Ableton Live, & Music Theory Teacher

Alex is a dedicated and versatile music teacher offering lessons in double bass, electric bass, guitar, music theory, and Ableton Live. His strongest background is in jazz, with experience across blues, rock, and pop as well.

Having completed Year 12 music with A+ grades in solo performance, ensemble performance, and explorations, Alex has a strong grasp of jazz vocabulary, composition, music theory, and music production. He has also performed in a range of live settings, including session work and ensemble performance, appearing at venues such as the Adelaide Festival Theatre.

As both a teacher and an active musician, Alex is passionate about helping students build strong musical foundations, grow in confidence, and become more creative on their instrument. His own recent study and performance experience allow him to explain concepts in a way that feels clear, relevant, and practical for students. Whether a student is learning the basics or developing their improvisation, technique, or musicianship, Alex aims to make lessons engaging, supportive, and genuinely useful.
