Adrian — Drum, Piano & Guitar Teacher

Adrian is a drummer of over 10 years, based in the Inner West. His primary focus is progressive rock, performing with his own bands, though he is equally accomplished in funk, pop, and jazz. This breadth allows him to work effectively with students across a wide range of musical styles.

Adrian holds a clear philosophy on technique: it should never be treated as an end in itself. Rather, technical proficiencyis a means of developing a student’s own creative voice on the instrument.

This philosophy shapes his teaching approach. Lessons combine technical studies, which build a strong and safe foundation, with grooves and songs, which help students develop their own style and prepare them to make music with others. Genre selection is largely guided by each student’s musical interests.
