Maddy — Violin & Music Theory Teacher

Maddy is a dedicated violin teacher who began learning the instrument at the age of four and has developed a deep love for music through years of study, performance, and teaching. Having trained under experienced teachers from a young age, she brings strong technical foundations and a genuine passion for helping students grow in both confidence and enjoyment.

Throughout her musical journey, Maddy has received multiple awards in eisteddfods, earned an A for her CMus in 2019, and is currently working towards her AMusA Diploma. She was a music scholar at PLC Sydney from Year 4, where she also served as Music Captain, and later graduated from Meriden School on a music scholarship. During her time at Meriden, she completed HSC Music 2 and Music Extension and received an Encore nomination for her violin performances. She was also actively involved in a wide range of ensembles, including orchestras, quartets, and choirs, and served as Choir Captain.

Alongside her violin background, Maddy also holds an AMus (Teaching) Diploma in Speech and Drama, which adds another layer to her communication and teaching approach. With extensive experience teaching students of different ages and skill levels, she creates lessons that are supportive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s goals. Whether a student is preparing for exams, building strong fundamentals, or simply learning for enjoyment, Maddy is passionate about helping them develop their musical ability, confidence, and long-term love of music.
