Alex — Violin, Piano & Music Theory Teacher

Alex began learning violin and piano at the age of 5 and has since developed a strong classical foundation across both instruments. She progressed through AMEB, completing AMusA in both violin and piano, as well as LMusA in violin, reflecting years of disciplined study and high-level performance achievement.

In 2020, she joined Sydney Conservatorium High School as a violin major, where she deepened her musical understanding through advanced study, ensemble work, and performance. During her time there, she achieved Band 6 in both Music 2 and Music Extension, participated in orchestras and chamber groups, and continued building her theoretical knowledge. She has also completed Grade 5 Musicianship with High Distinction and has undertaken extensive music theory study, giving her a well-rounded and thorough musical background.

Alex is currently studying at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under Peter Garrity, where she continues to refine her violin playing at a tertiary level. With her strong technical training, broad musical knowledge, and years of experience in both practical and theoretical music study, she aims to help students build confidence, develop solid foundations, and grow into expressive, capable musicians.
