Maisy — Singing, Songwriting & Music Theory Teacher

Maisy Jo is a musical theatre, singing, and performance teacher with a deep passion for helping students grow in confidence, creativity, and stage presence. She moved to Sydney in January 2024 to study musical theatre full-time at Brent Street and is currently completing a Bachelor of Music Performance (Musical Theatre) at AMPA.

Alongside her training, Maisy brings extensive experience in performing, directing, music directing, vocal coaching, and choreography. She has worked on a wide range of productions, particularly with NOW Productions, where she has helped performers develop both their voice and character work on stage.

Maisy received a TASA Award for her portrayal of Nancy in Oliver!  with NOW Productions. Her credits with the company also include Musical Director for Lion King Kids and Light Up the Stage Jr (Annie and School of Rock), Vocal Coach for High School Musical, and director of Moana Jr, and Light Up the Stage (Come From Away). She also wrote and directed two original musicals, Breaking the System and This Summer, and has choreographed more than 15 productions.

Her performing credits include Veronica in Heathers at the Adelaide Fringe, Martha in Heathers with Brent Street, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Wednesday in The Addams Family, Brooke Wyndham in Legally Blonde, Éponine in Les Misérables, Sandy in Grease, and Nancy in Oliver!.

With her broad experience across both performance and production, Maisy brings an energetic and well-rounded approach to lessons. She is passionate about helping students develop their voice, performance skills, musicality, and confidence in a way that is supportive, expressive, and tailored to the individual.
