Oliver — Clarinet, Music Production, Recorder & Music Theory Teacher
Oliver is a music producer, songwriter, sound engineer, and multi-instrumentalist with a strong background in both creative and technical music practice. He holds two degrees from JMC Academy — a Bachelor of Music (Songwriting) and a Bachelor of Creative Technology (Audio Engineering and Sound Production).
He began his musical journey at the age of seven on descant recorder, before expanding into a range of wind instruments including treble recorder, tin whistle, B♭ clarinet, and bass clarinet. Alongside teaching, he works as a freelance record producer and audio engineer, and is also an independent songwriter and artist.
As a teacher, Oliver believes music should be taught in a way that makes sense for the individual student. He aims to make lessons engaging, enjoyable, and tailored to each person, so that learning music feels rewarding rather than rigid.
Oliver finds tutoring deeply fulfilling and takes genuine joy in helping students build their skills, grow in confidence, and develop a lasting love of music.
